Ludlow Travel Guide - Spain

Ludlow Travel Guide - Spain
As I settle back in after a near two week trip through Spain, I wanted to share some magical moments and places we adored during our travels. Growing up so connected to the ocean certainly influenced which towns we selected to explore in Spain.

For us, we were after exploring vast coastlines, small quaint villages with beautiful landscapes and bustling cities. We headed to northern Spain, spending time in Barcelona, Costa Brava and Madrid. Here is what we loved most.
Our Top Picks:
Day trip to Cadaqués - We absolutely loved this northern village on the water, exploring beach coves for miles, drinking sangria in the sun….truly my favorite spot
Renting a boat in Marina Palamós - We took a small boat out on the sea with a cooler filled with wine and fresh food and had such an unforgettable adventure exploring coves up and down the coast and skinny dipping in private coves
Arkhe Boutique Hotel - This was by far our favorite stay, focused on conscious nutrition and wellness. I adored this beautiful bnb in a 1000 yr old village called Pals
Where We Shopped:
Barcelona, Cortana
Walking into this shop in Barcelona literally took my breath away. The curation and beautiful fabrications hanging throughout this underground shop was pure magic
Costa Brava, La Bisbal - A fun old village to collect handmade ceramics + antiques
Madrid, Justicia - A sweet upscale neighborhood filled with small independent shops and local restaurants. I loved all the stunning handbags in Malababa.
Our Favorite Cove: Platja de I'IIIa Roja
After many days exploring different coves up and down the coast of Costa Brava, we found our favorite cove. We jumped off rocks into crystal clear waters, swam for hours and enjoyed the warm soft rocky beaches. Just inland of this gorgeous cove is the beautiful town of Begur, where you can spend hours walking through side streets, nibbling on tapas and shopping.
Eat More Croquettes.
It had been years since I hopped on a plane in search of nothing but exploration and relaxation. I am someone who has a difficult time slowing down and turning the mind off and I can say Spain allowed me to indulge in the yummiest tapas (Margartia in Palafrugell was my fave) and enjoy some much needed r&r.

I am passionate about sharing these experiences with you all in efforts to connect deeper and show you who and what is behind LUDLOW. I am beyond lucky to have you a part of this community and along with this beautiful journey.
